Background
The European Space Agency is organising POLinSAR 2019, the 9th International Workshop on Science and Applications of SAR Polarimetry and Polarimetric Interferometry, to be hosted in ESRIN, Frascati, Italy from 28th January to 1st February 2019.
Participation
The Workshop is open to:
- ESA Principal Investigators, scientists and students working in the field of SAR Polarimetry and Polarimetric Interferometry;
- Users of Copernicus data as well as national SAR missions
- Representatives from National, European and International space and value adding industry.
No participation fees will be charged. Participants are expected to finance their own travel and accommodation expenses.
The official language of the workshop is English.
Publications
- Selected full papers will be published at no cost for the authors.

Prof. Boerner Award: In the recognition of the outstanding student contribution to the POLINSAR Workshop the Organising Committee has decided to grant :
the best student presentation with the "Prof. Boerner Award".Prof. Wolfgang-Martin Boerner (1937-2018) was a Distinguished Senior Professor Emeritus of the University of Illinois at Chicago, an IEEE Life Fellow, a most esteemed member of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) and a great supporter to the polarimetric community.Students, presenting both in oral and poster sessions, who would like to participate in the "Prof. Boerner Award" competition are kindly asked to respond to envmail@esa.int confirming their attendance until Friday, 25th of January 12:00 CET. -
